How does this help the district?
Benefits to the district include growing Highly Qualified, dual certified special education/ K-8 regular education teachers, PVschools curriculum adoptions embedded in course work, PDS/iTeach sites attract master teachers and there is increased student achievement, particularly in high-poverty populations. A specially-designated Professional Development iTeach classroom will be located at Palomino Elementary School and K through eighth-grade clinical experience will take place at that school and several satellite schools in the district. Students will exit the program with elementary and special education certificates, and the district will offer employment contracts to the most highly qualified graduates.
