Box Tops for Education program

boxtops“LEARN TO EARN” Money for your school

Ten cents doesn’t seem like much… you might think it’s not worth it to clip those box tops. But they added up to almost $2,000 for our school last year --- $2,000 to pay for new books, classroom equipment or educational programs.  Just by clipping box tops off products you use everyday you are helping to improve the quality of education at Desert Trails.  The challenge this year is to top last year’s total.  To encourage you to take the time to clip, we are having our first Box Tops Fall Challenge.  The classroom that collects the most box tops by the end of October will receive goodie bags for each student!  So start clipping!

Did you know you could be earning money for our school each time you grocery shop?!  Simply link your grocery store frequent shopper card to our school, and the stores will send Desert Trails a percentage of what you spend!  Last year our school received over $6,000 from these programs.  What could be easier?!  Participating stores are Albertson’s, Safeway, Fry’s, Bashas, Target (using your Target Visa or Red Card) and Macy’s (using your Macys card).

Information on how to link your card as well as Box Tops information can be found on the PTO information shelf in the lobby.  Or, for more information contact Ann Babcock at ababco@cox.net.
