Students master standards in language arts, mathematics, science and social studies. They also enrich their learning through special programs including music, visual arts, physical education, computer education and drug and substance abuse education.
MIDDLE SCHOOL CURRICULUM
All students take English, mathematics, science, social studies, music and physical education. Elective offerings include band, chorus, visual arts courses and career and technical education courses such as business, home economics, industrial arts and computer courses. At the completion of middle school, Paradise Valley students have a solid foundation for high school.
HIGH SCHOOL CURRICULUM
High School Course Catalog
High school students must complete 22 units to graduate, with the exception of Paradise Valley High School students, who need 23 credits.
All students complete four units of English, three units
of social studies, four units of mathematics, three units
of science, one unit of physical education, one unit of career
and technical or fine arts and six units of elective courses (with the exception of Paradise Valley High School students, who need seven units of elective courses).
Each high school offers at least one signature program consisting of specialized and highly focused areas of study..
