Vision: Ensure a dynamic workforce by fully developing every student’s career and academic potential.
Mission: Prepare students for continuous learning and workforce success

The Career and Technical Education (CTE) Department of PVUSD hosts a wide range of programs which provide students the rigor and relevance needed to succeed in today’s global economy.  Students are presented with opportunities to develop specialized skills while in high school and apply their academic knowledge in real world settings. Regardless of postsecondary plans, CTE provides all students with cutting edge training and opportunities in their chosen program of study.

CTE aligns its programmatic offerings to current, emerging and projected labor market needs.   CTE is delivered through comprehensive programs of study aligned to the National Career Clusters framework.  Relevant work-based learning opportunities and leadership development are incorporated into the program of study through career and technical student organizations (CTSOs).CTE Total Program Model

Delivery Model

While all high schools in the district offer CTE programs, not all programs are available at each high school. CTE programs are open to all students in Paradise Valley Unified School District.

Dual Enrollment
CTE students can receive college credit for courses taken in their high school setting. These courses are offered at the high school and taught by high school teachers with community college certification and will earn students both high school credit and college credit.  There will be a community college tuition fee for these courses.  Not all CTE courses offer dual enrollment.  Students must check with their instructors to see if this opportunity is available.
