OFFSET PRINTER I

QUALIFICATIONS:

  1. High School Diploma or GED.
  2. Ability to operate and maintain offset press and duplicating equipment.
  3. Knowledge of publications, printing and bindery procedures.
  4. Knowledge of computer equipment.
  5. Prior experience in printing or copy industry. 
  6. Effective communication skills.

GRADE: 13

 

REPORTS TO: Print Shop Coordinator 

 

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

  1. Establish and maintain good rapport with employees and community.
  2. Operate offset press and duplicating equipment for all district printing needs.
  3. Maintain district-printing equipment in good working order.
  4. Use darkroom and paste-up procedures to complete district projects.
  5. Operate all types of printing and bindery equipment.
  6. Schedule and coordinate printing.
  7. Other job-related duties as assigned.

TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT: Nine, ten, or twelve-month year. Salary and work year to be established by the Board.

 

EVALUATION: Performance of this job will be evaluated in accordance with provisions of the Board's policy on Evaluation of Support Services Personnel.

SKILL TESTS REQUIRED: Demonstrate ability to operate print shop equipment.
