TRANSPORTATION PROPERTY-INVENTORY TECHNICIAN II

 

QUALIFICATIONS:

  1. High School Diploma or GED
  2. Five years material control experience, including demonstrated supervisory ability
  3. Demonstrated ability as parts manager with full stock control responsibility
  4. Demonstrated experience in the purchasing of supplies & materials for use in the transportation area
  5. Knowledge of district policies, procedures & state regulations as related to property acquisition
  6. Working knowledge of automated inventory systems
  7. Arizona DriverŐs License
  8. Effective communication skills

 

GRADE:  19

 

REPORTS TO:  Supervisor of Vehicle Maintenance Supervisor

 

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

        1.               Establish & maintain good rapport with employees & community.

        2.               Maintain adequate stock and accurate inventory for the district.

        3.               Evaluate quality, cost of supplies and equipment.

        4.               Deliver & pick up parts from vendors throughout the valley.

        5.               Order supplies & reconcile quantities received & prices charged with purchase orders.

        6.               Liaison with vendors to maintain information on new supplies & materials.

        7.               Maintain clean, orderly stockroom layout.  Modify layout as needed.

        8.               Other job-related duties as assigned.

 

TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT: Nine, ten or twelve-month year.  Salary and work year to be established by the Board.

 

EVALUATION:  Performance of this job will be evaluated in accordance with provisions of the BoardŐs policy on Evaluation of Support Services Personnel.
