TRANSPORTATION MECHANIC I

 

QUALIFICATIONS:

  1. High School Diploma or GED
  2. Must have knowledge & work experience or background in automotive servicing
  3. Effective communication skills

 

GRADE:  18

 

REPORTS TO:  Transportation Mechanic IV

 

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

        1.               Establish & maintain a good rapport with employees, students & community.

        2.               Check, replenish & change fluid levels on all district vehicles.

        3.               Inspect & repair tires on all district vehicles.

        4.               Maintain accurate records as needed on work performed on all district vehicles.

        5.               Other job-related duties as assigned.

 

TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT: Nine, ten or twelve-month year.  Salary and work year to be established by the Board.

 

EVALUATION:  Performance of this job will be evaluated in accordance with provisions of the BoardÕs policy on Evaluation of Support Services Personnel.
