QUALIFICATIONS:
1.
High
School Diploma or GED.
2.
Demonstrated
experience in budgeting and accounting, preferably in a school system and/or coursework
in financial planning and record keeping.
3.
Experience
with Mac/PC Windows as well as AS400, financial, employee and payroll system.
4.
Experience
with SASI XP student system and Special Education system.
5.
Familiarity
with Federal and State rules and regulations as applied to Special Education.
6.
Knowledge
of Federal and State rules and regulations as applied to Federal and State
Grants.
7.
Knowledge
of Arizona Outreach/Medicaid program provider qualification for identification.

SUPERVISES: N/A
JOB
GOAL: Establish and maintain Special Education
M&O budget including private school placement and
contracted services.
ESSENTIAL
JOB FUNCTIONS:
1. Establish and maintain a positive working relationship with teachers, psychologists, therapists, paraprofessionals, parents and principals, vendors, directors of private schools, representatives of outside agencies and state and federal agencies.
2.
Structure
and manage district special education budgets.
3.
Order
and see to distribution of all supplies, books and etc. to all designated
staff. This will include all supply and
capital funds as well as allocated bond and override monies.
4.
Compile
student data personnel, facility and budgetary projections.
5.
Prepare
and manage bids for private schools and service contracts.
6.
Set
up budget for mileage and expenses for staff traveling between school, to and
from private institutions and etc.
7.
Issue
all purchase orders from Special Education supply and capital budgets and private
tuition.
8.
Back
up for Special Education Projects Technician.
9.
Other
job related duties as assigned.
TERMS
OF EMPLOYMENT: Nine, ten or twelve-month year. Salary and work year to be established by
the Board.
EVALUATION: Performance of the job will be evaluated in accordance with
provisions of the Board’s policy on Evaluation of Support Services Personnel.
