NUTRITION & WELLNESS WORKER 3

QUALIFICATIONS:

1.        High school diploma or GED.

2.        Good health and physical condition

3.        Must obtain a serve-safe certification

4.        Ability to lift 50 lbs and stand for long periods of time

5.        Knowledge of NSLP guidelines

6.        Knowledge of computerized cash register preferred

7.        Prefer two (2) years experience in school cafeteria

REPORTS TO: Central Kitchen Manager and Food Service Director

SUPERVISES: Food Service Worker I

JOB GOAL:        

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

  1. Establish and maintain good rapport with students, employees and community.
  2. Training and supervision of helpers at multiple locations or one location serving 700 meal equivalents or more each day.
  3. Perform and/or supervision of daily activities fundamental to State and Federal guidelines, including:

a.          Operation of Meal Tracker;

b.          Completion of daily production record,

c.          Completion of daily revenue reports;

d.          Daily production and serving of breakfast/lunch entrees, and snack items for compliance with NSLP guidelines;

e.          Operation of kitchen equipment necessary to food production;

f.           Coordination of daily cleaning activities

g.          Daily completion of free/reduced updates; and

h.          Following established procedure for no-money students.

  1. Complete food orders.
  2. Responsible for evaluation of helpers and monitor staffing.
  3. Other work related duties as assigned.

TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT: Nine, ten, or twelve-month year. Salary and work year to be established by the Board.

EVALUATION: Performance of this job will be evaluated in accordance with provisions of the Board's policy on Evaluation of Support Services Personnel.
