NUTRITION
& WELLNESS – SENIOR WORKER (formerly Senior Food Service
Worker)
QUALIFICATIONS:
- High school diploma or GED.
- Have or obtain a serve-safe
certification
- Ability to lift 50 lbs and
ability to stand for long periods of time.
- Knowledge of computerized
cash register preferred.
- Prefer two years experience
in a school cafeteria, including one year in a related specialized area.
GRADE: 12
REPORTS TO: Cafeteria Manager
SUPERVISES: Food Service Worker 1
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
- Establish and maintain good
rapport with students, employees, and community.
- Responsible for food
preparation for high schools and certain items for satellite schools
- Maintain standards of quality
and quantity as related to production.
- Requisition all necessary
supplies.
- Working knowledge of all
necessary kitchen equipment.
- Record keeping and production
reports and maintain par level inventories.
- Follow approved recipes,
menus and procedures.
- Assume all managerial tasks
to be performed in conjunction with or in managers
absence (i.e., ordering, invoices).
- Other job related duties as
assigned.
TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT: Nine, ten, or twelve-month year. Salary and work year to be established by the Board.
EVALUATION: Performance of this job will be evaluated in accordance
with provisions of the Board's policy on Evaluation of Support Services
Personnel.
