NUTRITION & WELLNESS - CENTRAL KITCHEN MANAGER (formerly Central Kitchen Manager for Satellite Schools)

QUALIFICATIONS:

  1. High School Diploma or GED
  2. Two years experience and knowledge of food service procedures
  3. Must be in good physical health with ability to lift 50 lbs and stand for long periods of time
  4. Have or obtain a serve-safe card

GRADE: 19

REPORTS TO: Food Service Director

SUPERVISES: Food Service Worker 1, 2, & 3

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

  1. Establish and maintain good rapport with students, employees, and community members.
  2. Plan and supervise daily production and meal service.
  3. Supervise ordering, shipment, and inventory and use of food and supplies for high school and satellite kitchens.
  4. Maintain low levels of inventory.
  5. Responsible for supervision, evaluation and disciplinary action of kitchen staff.
  6. Responsible for meeting labor hour budget requirements.
  7. Responsible for obtaining high use of commodity products.
  8. Responsible for generating maximum revenues and ensuring high quality programs.
  9. Complete site inspections of satellite kitchens.
  10. Support satellite kitchen in resolving problems.
  11. Attend bi-weekly management team meetings and monthly manager meetings.
  12. Complete outside projects as assigned by the Director of Food Service.
  13. Other job-related duties as assigned.

TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT: Nine, ten, or twelve-month year. Salary and work year to be established by the Board. 

EVALUATION: Performance of this job will be evaluated in accordance with provisions of the Board's policy on Evaluation of Support Services Personnel.
