NUTRITION
& WELLNESS - CENTRAL KITCHEN MANAGER (formerly Central
Kitchen Manager for Satellite Schools)
QUALIFICATIONS:
- High School Diploma or GED
- Two years experience and knowledge of food
service procedures
- Must be in good physical health with ability to
lift 50 lbs and stand for long periods of time
- Have or obtain a serve-safe card
GRADE: 19
REPORTS TO: Food
Service Director
SUPERVISES: Food
Service Worker 1, 2, & 3
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
- Establish and maintain good rapport with
students, employees, and community members.
- Plan and supervise daily production and meal
service.
- Supervise ordering, shipment, and inventory and
use of food and supplies for high school and satellite kitchens.
- Maintain low levels of inventory.
- Responsible for supervision, evaluation and
disciplinary action of kitchen staff.
- Responsible for meeting labor hour budget
requirements.
- Responsible for obtaining high use of commodity
products.
- Responsible for generating maximum revenues and
ensuring high quality programs.
- Complete site inspections of satellite
kitchens.
- Support satellite kitchen in resolving
problems.
- Attend bi-weekly management team meetings and
monthly manager meetings.
- Complete outside projects as assigned by the
Director of Food Service.
- Other job-related duties as assigned.
TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT: Nine, ten, or twelve-month year. Salary and work year
to be established by the Board.
EVALUATION: Performance
of this job will be evaluated in accordance with provisions of the Board's
policy on Evaluation of Support Services Personnel.
