IT TECHNICAL ANALYST

 

QUALIFICATIONS:

  1. Bachelors degree in Technical Writing/Documentation or related area.
  2. Have professional certifications in web technologies & IP networking.
  3. Have in-depth knowledge & skills in information technologies, networks, multimedia & user interaction.
  4. Have excellent analytical & creative skills.
  5. Be self-motivated, devoted & decisive.
  6. Have experience in content management systems, collaborative productivity suites, social platforms, simulation & gaming technologies.
  7. Have knowledge of IPv6.
  8. Have a focus on customer service, business efficiency & effectiveness.
  9. Have ability in both taking up new theories & embracing traditional practices.
  10. Strong verbal, written, multimedia, interpersonal, organizational, analytical problem solving & interpersonal skills.
  11. Knowledge of & experience with designing, implementing, maintain & monitoring web & network technologies & their documentation.
  12. Experience in a K-12 work environment.
  13. Ability to work independently, as a team member &/or organize & take a principle role in department projects, tasks & initiatives.

 

GRADE:  Exempt; Salary range $62,000 to $66,000

 

REPORTS TO:  Director of Information Technology or designee

 

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

        1.               Establish & maintain good rapport through excellent customer service with students, employees, department staff, vendors, contractor & community.

        2.               Confer with the PVUSD community on traditional & emerging technologies, including but not limited to: from content management systems to socialized learning platforms and from IPv4 routing schemes to IPv6 transitioning.

        3.               As determined by Director of Information Technology, or designee, be responsible for documenting, conceptualizing, designing, implementing, maintaining, diagnosing, modifying & monitoring web & networking technologies including but not limited to: user interactions, data networking, voice, video & telepresence networking, gaming & simulation, web 2.0/3.0 technologies, storage & virtualization.

        4.               Responsible for the technical documentation, analysis & administration of al web & networking processes & practices including but not limited to: system administration, network layouts & configurations, web technologies & security practices in text, visual, auditory, interactive &/or multimedia format.

        5.               Produce & organize according to best practices, through commercial, open source, Creative Commons & PVUSD-generated content.

        6.               Assist in the documentation & support of synchronizing web, networking, socialized platforms, learning management systems, simulation & gaming technologies to curricular, instructional, learning & administrative platforms.

        7.               Coach & train others on production through web & networking resources as determined by the Information Technology Department.

        8.               Support the use of PVUSDÕs web & network services on all tasks, projects & initiatives throughout the district.

        9.               Take the principle role &/or serve on a team with other personnel throughout the district, including embracing curricular, instructional, technical & logistical directions form/to a colleague.

    10.               Other job-related duties as assigned.

 

TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT: Nine, ten or twelve-month year.  Salary and work year to be established by the Board.

 

EVALUATION:  Performance of this job will be evaluated in accordance with provisions of the BoardÕs policy on Evaluation of Support Services Personnel.
