IT SITE TECHNOLOGY SPECIALIST

 

QUALIFICATIONS:

  1. High school Diploma or GED.
  2. Understand and have experience with a variety of hardware devices.
  3. Understand multimedia networks, including but not limited to digital or analog and including but not limited to; personal area, local area, wide area and Internet.
  4. Understand a variety of software and operating systems.
  5. Ability to work well in a K-12 enterprise.
  6. Ability to troubleshoot as well as coach on technology.
  7. Ability to work independently, as a team member, and/or organize and take a principle role in department projects, tasks and initiatives.
  8. Effective verbal, written and multimedia communication skills.
  9. Valid Arizona Drivers License and acceptable driving record.
  10. Ability to work in flexible shifts, including but not limited to; evenings, nights, weekends & holidays.
  11. Ability to independently lift equipment up to 50 pounds.
  12. Ability to work in non-air-conditioned environments.

REPORTS TO:  Director of Information Technology or designee

 

SUPERVISES:  N/A

 

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

1.     Establish & maintain good rapport with students, employees, department staff, vendors, contractors & community.

2.     Assist in the support of the deployment, installation, configuration, maintenance, troubleshooting, repair & closure of technologies, at sites assigned by the Director of Information Technology or designee.  Said assistance to support at assigned sites includes, but is not limited to; analog & digital technologies, hard-coded & soft-coded operating systems and applications, & analog & digital networks.  Assistance to support at assigned sites will be facilitated by and include, but not be limited to: a prioritization & ticketing system.

3.     Assist in the support of technology integration in all learning, teaching, office and schooling environments at assigned sites, including but not limited to; face-to-face, virtual and hybrid models.

4.     Coach & train on technology use at assigned sites, including but not limited to; site staff, students & community.

5.     Coach & train on technology use throughout the district, including but not limited to; department staff, vendors & contractors, PVUSD employees & community.

6.     Assist in the support of all technology tasks, projects & initiatives.

7.     Take the principle role and/or serve on a team with other personnel throughout the district, including embracing technical & logistical directions from/to a colleague.

8.     Other job-related duties as assigned.

 

 

TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT: Nine, ten or twelve-month year.  Salary and work year to be established by the Board.

 

EVALUATION:  Performance of this job will be evaluated in accordance with provisions of the BoardÕs policy on Evaluation of Support Services Personnel.
