IT NETWORK APPLICATIONS SPECIALIST II (formerly IT Network & Student Application Specialist II)

 

QUALIFICATIONS:

  1. High school Diploma or GED
  2. Understand and have significant experience with a variety of software and operating systems.
  3. Understand and have significant experience with a variety of information technology hardware, including but not limited to; hand helds, personal computers, servers and phones.
  4. Understand and have significant experience with maintaining network applications.
  5. Ability to work well in a K-12 enterprise.
  6. Ability to train and coach on network applications.
  7. Ability to work independently, as a team member, and/or organize and take a principle role in department projects, tasks and initiatives.
  8. Effective verbal, written and multimedia communication skills.
  9. Valid Arizona Drivers License and acceptable driving record.
  10. Ability to perform work in flexible shifts, including but not limited to; evenings, nights, weekends and holidays.

REPORTS TO:  Director of Information Technology or designee

 

SUPERVISES:  N/A

 

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

1.     Establish and maintain good rapport with students, employees, department staff, vendors, contractors and community.

2.     Operate network applications, including but not limited to; collaboration, communication, calendaring, student records, messaging, and grouping, including but not limited to asynchronous and synchronous connections, including but not limited to analog and digital systems, including but not limited to voice, data, and video, specifically as they relate to data and programming interfaces, hardware, network gear, and associated operating systems and software.

3.     Synchronize data to and from network applications and associated hardware.

4.     Program and configure interfaces of network applications and associated hardware.

5.     Coach and train others, including but not limited to; site staff, students, community, department staff, district administration office staff and administrators, on network applications.

6.     Implement network applications on all department tasks, projects and initiatives throughout the district.

7.     Take the principle role and/or serve on a team with other personnel throughout the district, including embracing technical and logistical directions from/to a colleague.

8.     Other job-related duties as assigned.

 

TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT: Nine, ten or twelve-month year.  Salary and work year to be established by the Board.

 

EVALUATION:  Performance of this job will be evaluated in accordance with provisions of the BoardÕs policy on Evaluation of Support Services Personnel.
