IT INFORMATION SUPPORT TECHNICIAN

 

QUALIFICATIONS:

  1. High school Diploma or GED
  2. Understand the diversity of information and technology systems in a K12 environment.
  3. Understand a variety of software and operating systems.
  4. Ability to work well in a K-12 enterprise.
  5. Ability to train and coach on information and technology systems.
  6. Ability and desire to work independently, as a team member, and/or organize and take a principle role in department projects, tasks and initiatives.
  7. Effective verbal, written and multimedia communication skills.
  8. Valid Arizona Drivers License and acceptable driving record.
  9. Ability to perform work in flexible shifts, including but not limited to; evenings, nights, weekends and holidays.

 

GRADE:  21

 

REPORTS TO:  Director of Information Technology or designee

 

SUPERVISES:  N/A

 

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

1.     Establish & maintain good rapport with students, staff & community.

2.     Establish and maintain good rapport with students, employees, department staff, vendors, contractors and community.

3.     Assist in the support of information and technology systems, including but not limited to; student information, human resources and business services, network and server monitoring.

4.     Assist in the support of analysis and reporting processes, including but not limited to; school boundary census, enrollment and registration, site employment, student addresses by grid code and transportation needs, state and federal requirements.

5.     Assist in the support of the coaching and training of others, including but not limited to; site staff, students, community, department staff, district administration office staff and administrators, on information systems throughout the district.

6.     Assist in the support of the deployment, installation, configuration, troubleshooting and maintenance of information systems.

7.     Assist in the support of all information system tasks, projects and initiatives throughout the district.

8.     Take the principle role and/or serve on a team with other personnel throughout the district, including embracing technical and logistical directions from/to a colleague.

9.     Other job-related duties as assigned.

 

TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT: Nine, ten or twelve-month year.  Salary and work year to be established by the Board.

 

EVALUATION:  Performance of this job will be evaluated in accordance with provisions of the BoardÕs policy on Evaluation of Support Services Personnel.
