IT DATA SPECIALIST II (formerly IT Programmer II)

 

QUALIFICATIONS:

  1. High school Diploma or GED
  2. Understand and have experience with data and programming theory and application.
  3. Understand and have experience with student information and student achievement systems, data and processes, in a K12 environment.
  4. Understand a variety of software and operating systems.
  5. Understand and have experience with a variety of software tools applicable to data and programming.
  6. Demonstration of excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  7. Ability to work well in a K-12 enterprise.
  8. Ability to train and coach on programming and data systems.
  9. Ability to work independently, as a team member, and/or organize and take a principle role in department projects, tasks and initiatives.
  10. Effective verbal, written and multimedia communication skills.
  11. Valid Arizona Drivers License and acceptable driving record.
  12. Ability to perform work in flexible shifts, including but not limited to; evenings, nights, weekends and holidays.

REPORTS TO:  Director of Information Technology or designee

 

SUPERVISES:  N/A

 

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

1.     Establish and maintain good rapport with students, employees, department staff, vendors, contractors and community.

2.     Assist in the support of department programming and data tasks, projects and initiatives throughout the district.

3.     Coach and train others on data, programs and systems throughout the district, including but not limited to; site staff, students, community, department staff, district administration office staff and administrators.

4.     Assist in the support of the design, deployment, installation, configuration, troubleshooting and maintenance of data and programmed systems throughout the district.

5.     Take the principle role and/or serve on a team with other personnel throughout the district, including embracing technical and logistical directions from/to a colleague.

6.     Other job-related duties as assigned.

 

 

TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT: Nine, ten or twelve-month year.  Salary and work year to be established by the Board.

 

EVALUATION:  Performance of this job will be evaluated in accordance with provisions of the BoardÕs policy on Evaluation of Support Services Personnel.
