IFAS APPLICATION SPECIALIST

 

QUALIFICATIONS:

  1. High school Diploma or GED.
  2. College/professional level courses in Business or Computer Sciences.
  3. Application development skills.
  4. Familiarity with web-based applications and database application design.
  5. Working knowledge of networks and PCs.
  6. Experience with report writing software.
  7. Application troubleshooting skills.
  8. Strong customer-service skills.
  9. Knowledge of human resources and business processes.

REPORTS TO:  Director of Budget & Finance

 

SUPERVISES:  N/A

 

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

1.     Establish & maintain good rapport with staff, community and vendors.

2.     Assists with the implementation, maintenance and support of the Integrated Financial and Administrative Solution (IFAS) and ancillary financial and human resources software applications.

3.     Write and maintain inter-departmental workflow within IFAS.

4.     Write and maintain complex reports and data files using the IFAS report writing tool (Click, Drag & Drill) and other outside products such as Microsoft Word and Excel.

5.     Ensure integrity and accuracy of data and reports within IFAS and ancillary applications.

6.     Train employees and departmental staff on IFAS software and related applications.

7.     Serve a primary customer contact regarding problem definition and resolution with software vendors.

8.     Enable and develop increased uses of technology within the human resources and business functions.

9.     Assist in developing and establishing department operating standards and procedures.

10.  Ensure reliability of interfaces between software applications.

11.  Provide help-desk support for IFAS and ancillary financial and human resources software applications, problems and issues.

12.  Other job-related duties as assigned.

 

TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT: Nine, ten or twelve-month year.  Salary and work year to be established by the Board.

 

EVALUATION:  Performance of this job will be evaluated in accordance with provisions of the BoardÕs policy on Evaluation of Support Services Personnel.
