FACILITIES & CONSTRUCTION PROPERTY-INVENTORY TECHNICIAN (formerly Parts Attendant and Coordinator of Maintenance Property / Inventory)

QUALIFICATIONS:

  1. High School Diploma or GED.
  2. Five years' material control experience, including demonstrated supervisory ability.
  3. Demonstrated ability as parts manager with full stock control responsibility.
  4. Demonstrated experience in the purchasing of supplies and materials for use in the facilities/construction area.
  5. Knowledge of district policies / procedures and state regulations as related to property acquisition.
  6. Working knowledge of automated inventory systems.
  7. Arizona Driver's License
  8. Effective communication skills.

GRADE: 19  

REPORTS TO: Supervisor of Maintenance 

SUPERVISES: N/A

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

  1. Establish and maintain good rapport with employees and community.
  2. Maintain adequate stock / accurate inventory for the district.
  3. Evaluate quality / cost of supplies / equipment.
  4. Deliver and pick up parts from vendors throughout the valley.
  5. Order supplies and reconcile quantities received / prices charged with purchase orders.
  6. Liaison with vendors to maintain information on new supplies / materials.
  7. Maintain clean / orderly stockroom layout. Modify layout as needed.
  8. Other job-related duties as assigned.

TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT: Nine, ten, or twelve-month year. Salary and work year to be established by the Board.

EVALUATION: Performance of this job will be evaluated in accordance with provisions of the Board's policy on Evaluation of Support Services Personnel.
