ENERGY SYSTEMS MANAGER

 

To develop, implement and maintain continuous improvement of energy efficiency and environmental awareness programs for Paradise Valley School District; and to develop and nurture a culture of resource conservation throughout the District.

 

QUALIFICATIONS:

  1. Minimum two years in servicing of solar panels & systems
  2. Minimum of ten years in electrical maintenance & installation including installing of SES cabinets and inverters as well as     maintaining inverters & installation
  3. Minimum of two years monitoring solar production output
  4. Minimum of ten years of residential and/or commercial construction management using schedules, budgets & spreadsheets
  5. Minimum of four years in solar, installation & supervision of installation
  6. Valid Arizona driverŐs license with a safe driving record; ability to operate a district vehicle
  7. Computer proficiency in basic software applications (Word, Excel, Access & PowerPoint, etc).
  8. Experience in measurement and verification
  9. Ability to monitor & analyze data & produce reports to verify project performance & energy & cost savings
  10. Excellent verbal, written, public presentation, time management & organizational skills
  11. Ability to work with a significantly diverse group of individuals including district personnel at all levels, students, parents & the community at large
  12. Ability to establish & maintain effective & cooperative working relationships with district personnel at all levels, general public & outside agencies
  13. Ability to perform physical demands of the job including: bending, lifting, crawling in tight places, climbing ladders to various heights & completing work with the aid of an upright or scissor lift
  14. Ability & willingness to work various shifts as required
  15. Ability & willingness to maintain needed certification & to pursue continuing education as needed

EXEMPT:  $55,000

REPORTS TO:  Director of Facilities and Construction

SUPERVISES:  Assigned support personnel

 

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

  1. Develop, implement & manage a district-level resource conservation plan
  2. Monitor & communicate district resource utilization & conservation efforts to Director of Facilities & Construction
  3. Establish & utilize energy monitoring software to track energy usage & trends
  4. Determine the performance & energy savings for system modifications & improvements
  5. Produce reports detailing site resource utilization & validation of conservation efforts
  6. Conduct site inspections to monitor compliance with behavioral resource conservation directives
  7. Supervise assigned support personnel
  8. Assist with district construction projects as may be required
  9. Work various shifts including nights & weekends, as required
  10. Maintain certifications & complete continuing education as needed
  11. Conduct random inspections of current & future solar projects to verify correct equipment & installation practices
  12. Other related tasks as assigned by director or assistant superintendent

 

TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT: Nine, ten or twelve-month year.  Salary and work year to be established by the Board.

 

EVALUATION:  Performance of this job will be evaluated in accordance with provisions of the BoardŐs policy on Evaluation of Support Services Personnel.
