CAREER AND TECHNICAL EDUCATION NETWORK TECHNICIAN II

QUALIFICATIONS:

  1. High School diploma or GED
  2. post-secondary degree or certificate in CIS or related field
  3. Experience in data and technology systems
  4. Effective communication skills.
  5. Demonstrated ability to be flexible and productive in working environments towards problem solving and interfacing with various technology personnel and end users
  6. Demonstrated ability to quickly learn new technologies
  7. Demonstrated ability to work independently, or with others in a team environment
  8. Ability to perform work outside standard working hours
  9. Valid Arizona Drivers License and acceptable driving record

REPORTS TO: Director of Career and Technical Education

SUPERVISES: N/A

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

1.        Establish and maintain a good rapport with students, employees and community.

2.        Install, configure, maintain and troubleshoot a variety of computer/devices for CTE

3.        Have the ability and knowledge to access CTE servers for performance of software installation, accounts, shares, and server maintenance.

4.        Install, configure, maintain and troubleshoot a variety of CTE software and databases, in coordination with district Information Technology

5.        Install, configure, maintain and troubleshoot a variety of network access points for CTE labs

6.        Provide technical support to CTE teachers throughout the district

7.       Other job related duties as assigned. 

TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT: Nine, ten, or twelve-month year. Salary and work year to be established by the Board.

EVALUATION: Performance of this job will be evaluated in accordance with provisions of the Board's policy on Evaluation of Support Services Personnel.
