ADMINISTRATIVE ASSISTANT I – DISTRICT ADMINISTRATIVE CENTER

 

QUALIFICATIONS:

  1. High school Diploma or GED
  2. Experience with Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  3. Experience using various databases (IFAS, Infinite Campus, etc.)
  4. Knowledge of general office procedures
  5. Effective communication skills
  6. Possess good organizational & planning skills
  7. Familiarity with legalities concerning confidential of records & information
  8. Excellent phone skills
  9. Ability to independently lift up to 50 pounds

 

GRADE:  11

 

REPORTS TO:  Executive Assistant to the Superintendent

 

SUPERVISES:  N/A

 

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

        1.               Demonstrate positive interpersonal interactions with all district staff & visitors

        2.               Respond to community inquiries regarding district policy & general information

        3.               Provide excellent customer service answering incoming phone calls & directing to appropriate departments within the district.

        4.               Provide clerical responsibilities for SuperintendentÕs Office & Communications Office:

                  a.  Assist with correspondence

                  b.  Prepare district mailings

                  c.  Prepare & distribute MAC-Ro workbooks

        5.               Ability to:

                  a.  Schedule multiple meetings

                  b.  Take notes & prepare minutes of committee meetings

                  c.  Multi-task

        6.               Ability to communicate district policies & procedures

        7.               Other job-related duties as assigned

 

TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT: Nine, ten or twelve-month year.  Salary and work year to be established by the Board.

 

EVALUATION:  Performance of this job will be evaluated in accordance with provisions of the BoardÕs policy on Evaluation of Support Services Personnel.

SKILL TESTS REQUIRED:  Spelling, Math, Filing & Typing (40 wpm), Computer (Microsoft Office – Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
