ACCOUNTING TECHNICIAN III – POSITION CONTROL & RECONCILIATION

 

QUALIFICATIONS:

  1. High School Diploma or GED
  2. Two semesters of college accounting & three years experience in A/P & automated full charge; double entry bookkeeping or minimum five years experience in A/P & booking
  3. Knowledge & experience with USFR Accounting & Coding requirements
  4. Experience with computerized accounting systems & Microsoft Office products
  5. Supervisory skills
  6. Ability to analyze financial data
  7. Effective communication skills

 

GRADE:  21

 

REPORTS TO:  Director of Budget & Finance

 

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

        1.               Establish & maintain a good rapport with students, employees & community

        2.               Maintain position budget

        3.               Review PAFs & timesheet to ensure budget authority & accurate coding

        4.               Perform reconciliations of financial records

        5.               Manage cash receipting function

        6.               Prepares financial reports

        7.               Manage small district funds

        8.               Provide support & training to school personnel in analyzing district financial data

        9.               Exercises judgment when dealing with confidential information

    10.               Provides information & assistance to overall district financial office

    11.               Performs duties of immediate supervisor in supervisorÕs absence

    12.               Other job-related duties as assigned

 

TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT: Nine, ten or twelve-month year.  Salary and work year to be established by the Board.

 

EVALUATION:  Performance of this job will be evaluated in accordance with provisions of the BoardÕs policy on Evaluation of Support Services Personnel.
