How to apply
Once you create an account in the district online application system you can fill out an application and upload a resume, letters of recommendation or other documents. The system allows you to save information so you do not have to complete the application in one session. You will need to indicate if you are applying for a certified position (teachers, nurses, psychologists, etc.) or classified / Education Support Professional (non-teaching position).
Important: Once you have entered your work history into our online system, you must still apply for a specific job.
View the documents required as part of your online job application.
When you have completed your online application, administrators or other hiring managers screen applications and contact selected applicants for an interview. Please do not call the school or site for information on hiring. Applicants may receive an invitation via e-mail to interview through a Web camera process, which can be completed at home or on computers at the district office. The email invitation will come from HireVue.
If you are recommended for hire by the school or site administrator, Human Resources will contact you to officially offer you employment. Only the Human Resources Department is authorized to make job offers.
Accepting a position
If you are hired, you will be required to complete an I-9 form and provide documents of your choice from the list of acceptable documents for employment. If you were born after Dec. 31, 1956, you must provide proof of a measles, mumps and rubella (MMR) immunization.
Applicants chosen for open positions must be fingerprinted prior to their first date of employment. Fingerprinting is done by Human Resources in the District Administrative Center, 15002 N. 32nd Street in Phoenix. Authorization for a background check is required as well and can be completed at time of fingerprinting. You will need a photo ID. The process takes approximately 35 to 40 minutes.
Once you have accepted employment, you must attend a “New Hire” orientation. A Human Resources technician will contact you to explain this orientation process in more detail.
Teacher applicant assessment
Applicants for teaching positions are required to take an online assessment called TeacherInsight, developed by The Gallup Organization based on research conducted with teachers viewed as most successful. It consists of multiple choice and Likert scale items and takes approximately 30-35 minutes of uninterrupted time to complete. You will be provided a notice to complete TeacherInsight once you submit your application. The assessment must be completed within 24 hours of application submission.
When you are ready, log in to your application and click on the TeacherInsight link. Gallup forwards your results to the district.
Substitute teachers, nurses and support professionals
Applicants for substitute positions will follow the instructions for online applications above. Once you're an established PV Schools substitute, you will register with Subfinder to search for current opportunities. Orientation is mandatory for substitutes; you will be notified of your orientation date. If you have questions call 602-449-2182.
